Printing machines for each budget
In order to meet various demand of its worldwide customers, Van Dam has developed a wide range of printers. From highly advanced photographic printers to printers with a familiar face; from CX to CP.
In 2006 Van Dam opened a new factory in China, making it possible to offer competitive prices for our round cup printer models CC 406 M and CP 406 M. Printer models CC 406 M and model CP 406 M have the following in common:
- designed in the Netherlands, build in China
- based on popular previous models
- 400 ppm and 6 color heads
- competitive pricing
The difference between these models lies particularly in their color heads. While CP is equipped with a ‘ first time right’ printing plate attachment, the CC has the color heads from the previous 560 model.
As CC and CP are basic machines with a fixed configuration, the CM models can be delivered in different versions: six or eight color heads, 400 or 600 ppm, different feeding capacity, different take off options etc.
The CM-series offers a tailor made solution for each individual printing demand, more then one hundred CM-machines are now running steady at our customers factories making it a flexible workhorse with a reliable output.
CM, CC and CP are equipped with the reliable manually operated color heads.
To keep up with future developments Van Dam created new models with remote controlled color heads.
The CQ 708 M and the CX 708 are both round cup printers with newly designed color heads that fully benefit from new developments in plate making industry. The combination of vibration less, rigid color heads and laser engraved printing plates delivers a photographic printing quality that can easily compete with different printing techniques like In Mold Labeling.
As IML offers high quality prints, but has considerably higher costs per print, it is worth to make a comparison. New technical developments have made dry offset clean and lean while the traditional benefit of low costs per product did not disappear.

Besides the cup printers for round products Van Dam offers the RM 208 T for non-round products. The RM is equipped with the same reliable color heads as the CM and with advanced product handling modules that allow speeds up to 200 ppm. A perfect printing solution for rectangular or oval cups. The RM is optionally equipped with a base printer for making a print at the bottom of the tub.
The LM-series for printing on lids find its origin in previous models. Van Dam used the experiences of former lid printers to design a printer that easily prints a wide range of products; round or non-round and flat or raised with eight color heads. The output of this printer can be doubled by adding a second lane, creating an unexpected high efficiency. As order to handle the high amount of in- and outgoing products, Van Dam has contacted a manufacturer in the robot-technology and introduced robots for feeding and packing.
Van Dam PM-series contain the pail printers PM 408 M and the PM 108 CIT. The PM 408 M can be compared with a CM for larger products. Implementing experience and technology of the CM printers has resulted in a reliable small pail printer with a high quality print.
For larger products Van Dam offers the PM 108 CIT. CIT stands for Curing In Take off. CIT enables smaller floor space and varnishing for a glossy effect on the pail. The large products with sharp prints and shiny looks will certainly attract attention when placed on the shelves in the shops.
