After investigating and classifying market demands and recent developments in print plate manufacturing, Van Dam has designed a new generation of color heads

Objectives for the designers were:

• More precise printing; i.e. smaller fonts, photographic images, reach IML printing quality.
• Increasing machine efficiency; i.e. reduction of down time.
• Increasing operator friendliness; i.e. visualize color head settings.

Models CX and CQ have been equipped with this new generation of color heads. The new generation has a solid, vibration free construction and is controlled from the operator panel. The satisfactory results are encouraging to continue with new developments. The next step: FLT (Fuzzy Logic Techniques) is recently implemented on the CQ color heads. FLT is continuously optimizing the performance of the color heads without operator interference.
